According to RTI, the expansion will double the size of the RTI Pilot Xcelerator facility. This facility is described as a "plug-and-play" demonstration facility that helps everything from government agencies to startup companies test energy products and inventions.

“The RTI Pilot Xcelerator brings our mission to life, helping transform bold scientific ideas into real-world solutions that tackle society’s toughest challenges,” RTI President and CEO Tim J.
