LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Advocates for All Nebraskans (AFAN) announced a pair of petition drives aiming at changing how the state conducts elections.

A group called Advocates For All Nebraskans has officially launched a pair of petition drives aimed at changing how the state conducts elections.

Organizers — including Eric Underwood, Tom Nesbitt, Kirk Penner, Doug Fitzgerald, and Danna Seevers — announced the effort Tuesday during a news conference at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel.

The two proposed constitutional amendments would:

Shift Nebraska’s presidential elector system to a winner-take-all format.

Require hand-counted ballots for all elections across the state.
