Multiple people are unaccounted-for after a house fire in central Queensland.

Emergency services were called to Whiting Street, in the Gladstone suburb of Toolooa, just before 6am.

The two-storey home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.

The fire was brought under control by 7:20am, but the house had partially collapsed, which hampered search efforts.

Police say the whereabouts of multiple people are unknown.
