LEBANON, Ore. - A threat discovered at Lebanon High School on Monday prompted swift action from local authorities, according to the Lebanon Police Department.

Lebanon police officials said they responded to the school at 2:38 p.m. on October 14 after a handwritten message making threats to specific students was found in a school bathroom. The School Resource Officer and school staff quickly launched an investigation, police said.

A Lebanon High School student was identified and taken into custody later that afternoon. The student is believed to have acted alone.

The suspect faces charges of first-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief and is currently held at the Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Center.
