Herkimer grocery store sells $14K Take 5 top prize winner

Herkimer, NY – A top-prize Take 5 ticket worth $14,380.50 was sold in Herkimer for the October 13 evening drawing, lottery officials confirmed Monday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hannaford supermarket, located at 401 E Albany Street. The player matched all five numbers in the Take 5 drawing, securing one of the two top prizes awarded that night.

Take 5 draws numbers from a field of one to 39 and is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim any prize.
