The City of Youngatown's Committee on Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED) met Tuesday afternoon to discuss various proposals for the city.

One item on the agenda was extending the contract of Housing Solution Specialist Dawn Monteiro for another year. Monteiro discussed the work she's done in her position with the board.

"I have worked to create and strengthen pathways to stable housing, economic opportunities [and] community wellness. This role has focused on building collaborations across the city departments, non-profit partners, housing developers to just housing needs and support economic development," Monteiro said.
