LACASSINE, La. (KPLC) - A company that makes key parts for solar panels has set up shop in Lacassine.
Ice Industries, an Ohio-based solar panel manufacturer, invested $6 million into the Lacassine facility and will create over 70 jobs for Jeff Davis Parish.
“We looked at four or five other regions, and this is a great location for us as far as distance, people. We found it very easy to hire people down here, great workforce down here we have, and the building actually was the perfect building for us in size,” Howard Ice, CEO of Ice Industries, said.
The building is about 120,000 square feet. They renovated the facility to distribute products to First Solar in New Iberia.
