Israelis are celebrating the return of all living hostages held by Hamas, part of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire that also saw thousands of Palestinian prisoners released. The truce brought relief but also mourning, with Israel confirming that 28 hostages died in captivity. Hamas returned the bodies of four — Guy Illouz, Bipin Joshi, Daniel Shimon Peretz, and Yossi Sharabi — as the region continues to reckon with devastating losses, including more than 67,000 Palestinians killed since the war began.
