A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the ankle at a property in south-east Queensland .
Police were called to a home at Bergin Street in Booval, Ipswich, about 4am (5am AEDT) following reports of a shooting.
A man aged in his 40s was found at the scene with a "significant" gunshot wound to his lower leg, Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) confirmed.
He was treated at the property before being taken to Ipswich Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation is now under way.
Several streets were closed as police examined the scene.
Police have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
No arrests have been made.
