MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Wisconsin Senate Democrats want legislators to be working more. Since the session started in January, the Wisconsin State Senate has met seven times.

Until Tuesday, it had not met since passing the state budget in early July.

“We are on the path of becoming one of the least active state senates in Wisconsin’s history,” said State Sen. Dora Drake, D-Milwaukee. “It’s irresponsible and reckless, but this is the nature of the Republican majority.”

When asked about Senate Democrats critiques, Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu pushed back.
