GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Greenville Community Shelter, formerly Community Crossroads, opened a new resource center on Tuesday to provide for those in need.

Around 200 people came out to the new 14,000-square-foot center.

It includes a new in-house medical clinic that will be open every other Monday to see people in the shelter and community.

Various training methods for residents at the shelter continue to help them prepare for interviews and find jobs. Pitt Community College, Access East, and Grady-White Boats have all helped with that training, with some residents even landing jobs at Grady-White Boats.
