Yakima airport has joined airports across the nation in refusing to play the video.

The airport said the screens are owned by a contracted ad service and only show static advertisements.

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – The Tri-Cities Airport is not showing the video message shared by Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, but the airport’s director gave a different rationale than other airports.

Tri-Cities Airport Director Buck Taft said that the Tri-Cities Airport was not showing the video because they are unable to display it.

The video features Noem, speaking directly to the viewer, blaming democrats in congress for the government shutdown.

“Our hope is that democrats will soon recognize the importance of opening the government,” Noem says in the video
