GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Greenville Area Economic Development Corporation (GAEDC) has announced the launch of the Greenville Home Improvement Assistance program.

The program offers households in the borough grants of up to $1,000 to help eligible homeowners make exterior repairs needed to correct exterior code violations.

Homeowners have the option of completing the repair work themselves or hiring a handyman or contractor with liability insurance.

A total of $18,000 is available, and funding will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis until all funds are exhausted.

"We understand that many residents are doing the best they can with limited resources. This program is our way of showing compassion while still keeping Greenville safe and beautiful," said GAEDC Executive Director Elle
