A staggering $260 million drug ring has allegedly been shut down after Organised Crime Squad detectives arrested three people and seized more than 400 kilograms of narcotics .

Methylamphetamine, cocaine , heroin and MDMA were seized when detectives raided properties in Sydney at 5pm on October 14 as part of Strike Force Barberton.

Police searched five properties, believed to be "safe houses" for the crime group, in Mays Hill, Bankstown, Campsie and Bonnyrigg Heights.

Three guns, a ballistic vest, 300 rounds of ammunition and $450,000 in cash were seized during the searches.

The 415-kilogram drug seizure included 287 kilograms of methylamphetamine, 81 kilograms of heroin, 47 kilograms of cocaine, and 838 grams of MDMA.
