TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Pima County Sheriff’s Department Bureau Chief Harold Janes has resigned after he was placed on administrative leave last week.
PCSD has confirmed that Janes, known as "Buddy," has stepped down after facing a criminal investigation and being place on administrative leave. PCSD also revealed that the case involving Janes was assigned to the Fraud Unit.
Janes' role included oversight of time sheets, human resources and public information within the Administration Bureau.
Last week, Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed Janes was on administrative leave and that an investigation was ongoing.
