COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Richland Library is beginning a new chapter in its history as it celebrates the leadership of its new executive director, Tamara King.

King was unanimously selected by the library’s Board of Trustees and officially stepped into the role in late August. King has spent the past decade with Richland Library, most recently serving as Chief Equity and Engagement Officer.

"I am beyond humbled and honored to lead this great group of people at Richland Library," King said.

As executive director, King says her vision is to continue strengthening the library’s impact across Richland County and ensure it remains a place for connection and opportunity.
