KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knox County officials helped get another memorial to honor Deputy Tucker Blakely in Powell on Tuesday. Deputy Blakely was killed in the line of duty responding to a domestic call two years ago.

For the first time since Deputy Blakely’s death, we heard from his widow, Katarina Blakely, during the memorial’s unveiling.

“He was a really good husband, and he supported me through multiple degrees, and when we had him, he was deployed at the time, so it afforded me the opportunity to stay home and raise our son,” Blakely said.
