KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Tucker Blakely, a Knox County deputy who died in the line of duty two years ago , was honored with a new memorial on Tuesday.
The memorial is located at Powell High School, where Blakely graduated from.
Knoxville leaders joined Blakely's family to unveil the memorial, which they said stands as a tribute to the fallen deputy's courage, service and lasting impact on the community he served.
"It's nice that'll be a memory for future generations that won't have met Tucker, their families don't know him, thinking they can at least come up here and see, and as you could see, he can tell people about his dad...and now he has multiple places to go and be with his dad," Katrina Blakely, Blakely's wife, said.
