Central Bucks West’s Andy Brexler carded a 2-under 70 Tuesday at Turtle Creek Golf Course to sit one shot behind leader Cole Berry of West Chester Rustin after the first round of the District 1-3A Boys Golf Championship.
Six other local golfers finished in the top 30 to advance to second round, including Central Bucks South’s Colin Chelak and Pope John Paul II’s Beau Bliem, who both shot a 1-over 73 to be tied for seventh, and North Penn’s Kellen Toussaint, who sits in a six-way tie for ninth at 2-over 74.
Berry leads at 3-under 69, the Rustin senior’s round including an eagle on the par-5 13th hole.
Strath Haven’s Eddie Gebhart and Carson Holmes of Coatesville are tied for third at 1-under 71.
