A neurosurgeon has been arrested after she allegedly allowed her 12 year old daughter to drill a hole in a patient's skull during surgery . ‌

The incident unfolded on 13 January 2024, when a 33 year old man was rushed to Graz Regional Hospital in Austria with a traumatic brain injury following a serious accident. The operation, performed by a senior doctor and another medic, was assisted by the trainee neurosurgeon who brought her daughter into the operating theatre. ‌
