New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India is set for a big leadership change. The automaker announced that Tarun Garg, its current Whole-time Director, will step into the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer starting January 1, 2026. The move follows the exit of Unsoo Kim, who will head back to South Korea to take up a strategic position at Hyundai Motor Co after December 31.
The announcement came just a day before Hyundai’s first investor meet since its IPO, adding extra buzz to the company’s calendar. The leadership shuffle signals a new chapter for Hyundai’s India operations, which have been among the strongest markets for the South Korean automaker globally.
