Man fires gun inside Twin Falls apartment, police say

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Twin Falls Police are investigating a discharge of a gun at an apartment complex on the north side of the city.

Officers rushed to the Rivercrest Apartments along Canyon Crest Drive around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday after reports of shots fired, according to a police officer on scene. A man “intentionally discharged” an assault rifle in an apartment.

The officer said that no one was injured and that there is no public threat to the tenants or anyone living around the area. Officers detained the man for questioning.

The Twin Falls Police Department said they are currently investigating the incident, and there is no other information at this time.

The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were also on scene.
