The man accused of orchestrating the public killing of a former Perth bikie boss sent coffin and clapping emojis to the assassin after the high-profile murder, a WA court has heard.
Former Comancheros bikie member David James Pye appeared for the first day of his trial in the WA Supreme Court, which was guarded by a heavy police presence today.
Mr Pye was charged in November 2021 over the shooting death of ex-Rebels head Nick Martin at the Kwinana Motorplex almost 12 months prior.
The 51-year-old had been watching drag races with his family and 2,000 other people when the sniper-style attack occurred, with former Bandidos member Ricky Chapman and a five-year-old boy also injured.
