An investigation has been launched after a person was approached from behind and injured during a robbery in east Manchester .

Officers received reports of a robbery on Bradford Road at around 10.10pm last Friday (September 10).

Greater Manchester Police believes that two offenders approached the victim from behind while they were walking down the road.

The victim suffered injuries during the incident which were not life-threatening, GMP says.

The force is now appealing for more information about the incident.

Police have released two CCTV images, showing two people they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

GMP says the pair could help officers with their enquiries.
