Caltrans Will Narrow the 405 to Three Lanes in Each Direction This Weekend

Motorists traveling through the Sepulveda Pass should prepare for significant delays this weekend as Caltrans reduces the Interstate 405 (I-405) to three lanes in each direction for scheduled pavement rehabilitation work.

The closures for this project have been on a schedule of every other weekend so far, but bear in mind that closures will not occur on holiday weekends or weekends when major events are scheduled in the city.

The extended lane reductions are scheduled to begin Friday, Oct. 17, at 10:00 p.m. and continue through Monday, October 20, at 5:00 a.m. Drivers are urged to plan ahead, use alternate routes, or consider public transportation to avoid heavy congestion throughout the corridor.
