New Delhi: Poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has confirmed that he will not contest in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, where his Jan Suraaj Party is set to make its maiden election appearance.
Signs of his decision became clear when Jan Suraaj announced Chanchal Singh as its candidate for the Raghopur assembly seat, a constituency firmly under RJD control held by Tejashwi Yadav. Earlier, Kishor had indicated he might contest either from Kargahar, his home constituency, or from Raghopur.

Kishor said he would not contest the elections, instead he chose to focus on building and strengthening his party for the upcoming election, as reported by the news agency PTI.
