CLAIBORNE PARISH, La. - 66-year-old Paul Hammon, Jr. of Homer, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 9 near Forest Grove Road, around 12:35 p.m. Tuesday.

Louisiana State Police say Hammon was driving a Mack truck north in the southbound lane when he collided with a Semi truck and overturned.

Hammon was properly restrained at the time of the crash but sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver had minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

This cause of the crash remains under investigation.
