CLEVELAND — Crews battled a two-alarm fire at a vacant warehouse in Cleveland early Wednesday morning.

In a post on its social media platforms, Cleveland Division of Fire officials reported that crews responded to the area of East 79th Street and Woodland Avenue at approximately 3:45 a.m.

"Arriving companies found the building well involved and threatening nearby houses on E.80. A 2nd Alarm was struck, bringing 13 Fire Companies and over 60 firefighters to the scene," Cleveland Fire noted.

The fire was under control by 7 a.m. No injuries were reported. Damage to the warehouse was estimated at $1 million. Fire officials say the nearby homes "were successfully protected."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
