CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is recognizing a fourth grade student from Louisa May Alcott School as a hero “after saving a toddler from a potentially life-threatening situation.”
The student has only been identified as Allison.
“While boarding her school bus to go to school, Allison noticed a small child wandering alone in the street wearing only a T-shirt,” according to CMSD . “Realizing the danger, Allison immediately alerted the bus driver and took swift action.”
Allison quickly got off the bus and brought the toddler to safety.
“I saw the girl walk out, and the bus driver was about to hit her,” Allison says. “I was like, ‘Stop!’”
CMSD says Allison wrapped the toddler in her sweatshirt after noticing she was cold. She also gave the toddler a snack.
