‘O Canada! Our home and native land!’ always engenders a great deal of national pride. The unpredictable behaviour of that self-centred, morally-corrupt, attention-seeking president in the Oval Office has been a wakeup call, a slap in the face. For far too long, Canada has depended on the Americans to help us guard our borders. The needs of the Department of National Defence have been ignored for years. Donald Trump is intent on crippling the Canadian economy by using tariffs in order to make Canada the 51st state of what is looking more and more like a fascist country.
