Snow flurries are forecast to hit parts of the UK later this month.

A 200-mile stretch of the country could be blanketed in snow on October 28, according to the latest weather forecasts.

The snowfall could affect large parts of Scotland, stretching from just north of Edinburgh to the far north of the country, according to weather service WXcharts.

Parts of England could also see some snowfall, particularly on higher ground as the weather takes a wintry turn.
