NEW YORK (WABC) -- The MTA hero this week is Hason Taylor - a bus operator on the S40 route on Staten Island.
Last month, Taylor was operating the bus along Richard Terrace and North Burgher and noticed a little girl on a sidewalk who needed help.
Taylor says a dog bit the child while she was playing with her mother.
Without hesitation, Taylor secured the bus and helped get the little girl into the bus, until EMS and police arrived.
Taylor says his parental instincts kicked in, and he rushed to help.
Taylor's been with the MTA for 15 years and says servicing the public is what he enjoys most about his career.
