Amy Dowden has made a heartbreaking admission about her early exit from Strictly Come Dancing.

The professional dancer was competing in the 2025 run of the BBC One dance contest alongside former Apprentice candidate Thomas Skinner.

But the pair were sadly revealed to be the first couple leaving the competition this year when the first results show of the show's 23rd series took place on October 5.

They lost their place on the show after they had performed an unexpected salsa to Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal and Armand van Helden during week two, which earned them just a two from judge Craig Revel Horwood.

And after the judges' scores from the first two live shows were combined with the results of a public vote, Thomas and Amy found themselves in the series' first dance-off
