A Tesco announced about this year's Christmas sandwiches has sparked a backlash. Tesco ’s much-loved Christmas Sandwich and Meal Deal range returns this year, with a line-up that combines seasonal favourites with exciting new twists inspired by festive flavours.

This year’s range brings together indulgent Finest creations, and classic turkey filled favourites, along with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Customers can enjoy them as part of Tesco’s great-value Meal Deal, or trade up to the Premium Meal Deal for extra festive flair.

But taking to social media platform Newfoodsuk, eagle-eyed shoppers noticed that four of seven sarnies contain cranberry sauce, with a fifth featuring cranberry bread.
