PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s finally feeling like fall across Arizona today with cool, dry air and plenty of sunshine expected.

In the Valley, look for clear skies, light winds and an afternoon high of 78 degrees. That’s 12 degrees below the normal or average high of 90 degrees we’d usually see in Phoenix this time of year.

A trough of low pressure pushing across the Great Basin will drag a cold front across Arizona today. While most rain and snow will stay north of the state, cooler and drier air will push into Arizona. That should keep afternoon highs in the 70s again tomorrow, with low to mid 80s expected Friday and into the weekend.
