Sharp rise in deaths by electrocution , three deaths reported over the past twenty four hours

Misuse of electric connection through hookline,loose connection , short-circuit and related other reasons have sparked a sharp rise in deaths by electrocution in different parts of the state. The shadow of death struck the Tebaria area of Bishalgarh subdivision this afternoon as a house-wife Anjali Sarkar (35) was going to a shop near her house. Suddenly a loosely-connected hookline overhead on the road fell down on her head. As she cried out in agony local people rushed to the spot and managed to have her shifted to Bishalgarh hospital by Fire Brigade but Anjali was declared ‘dead on arrival’ by the doctor on duty in the hospital. A deep pall of gloom and grief has descended on the Tebaria area over the death of Anjali Sarkar.
