HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke Community College Police Chief Jacqueline Robles was honored as one of the '100 Women of Color' at a gala on Friday at The Bushnell Theater in Hartford.

The '100 Women of Color' gala was organized by The June Archer Foundation and celebrates the achievements of women of color in various fields, including leadership, business, and public service. Robles became the first Latina to serve as HCC police chief and was recognized for her contributions to the community.

Robles has been a member of the Holyoke Community College police department for 22 years. Her appointment as police chief in May marked a significant milestone as she became the first Latina to hold this position.
