Scottish LNER customers are being warned about phishing or scam messages following a data breach.
A Perthshire reader received a letter from the train company today (October 15) saying their personal information and email address were involved.
The customer said: This is potentially a big data breach affecting many thousands of Scottish train customers.
“I think it’s worrying that the company has only revealed that the data breach has happened now.
“While they say no financial data was lost - how do they know? They warn phishing and scam activity might happen as a result of the breach.”
