SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Police Department participated in the Faith & Blue weekend, partnering with local parishes for a food drive that concluded on Sunday.

The event, held in collaboration with Springfield Diocese Parishes, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Sacred Heart, resulted in generous donations that filled two police pickup trucks and another vehicle. Bishop William Byrne led a mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where he expressed gratitude to the officers for their service.
