CENTRAL, S.C. —

A Clemson University student died in a crash with a Clemson Area Transit bus (CATbus) on Monday.

Deputy Coroner Marsha Alexander said 26-year-old Jacob Babayan, of Greer, was driving a motorcycle around 4:20 p.m. on West Main Street in Central when the motorcycle and bus were involved in a crash.

The details of how the crash happened have not been released. We are working to find out that information now.

The coroner's office said Babayan was wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

Clemson University confirmed Babayan was a student.
