Police sources confirmed that the accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway

In a major breakthrough in Manipur’s war against drugs, Kangpokpi Police seized 10 kg brown sugar during a joint operation conducted under the supervision of Abhinav, IPS, SP Kangpokpi.

Based on specific intelligence inputs regarding drug transportation by certain individuals, a combined team led by Addl. SP (L&O) Kangpokpi, SDPO Kangpokpi, SDPO Saparmeina, and OC Kangpokpi Police Station, in close coordination with personnel from the 16 Assam Rifles and 112 Battalion CRPF, launched a targeted operation from 1300 hours on October 14, 2025.
