NEW DELHI: Slippers hurled at a sessions judge in Ahmedabad before the uproar over the attempted shoe hurling at the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has subsided. The attack was on the Additional Principal Sessions Judge of Ahmedabad in an open court.

The case involves the man's father being hit with a cricket ball in 1997 while buying vegetables. A scuffle ensued, after which the father was allegedly attacked. Four people were charged in the case. A metropolitan court had acquitted all four accused in 2017. On Monday, the sessions court upheld the acquittal, after which the 'slipper-throwing' took place.
