JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — The Louisiana Supreme Court suspended Judge Donald “Chick” Foret from the bench in Jefferson Parish for 30 days for profanity, lack of courtesy, appearance of bias and disparaging remarks.
Foret, a former WWL Louisiana legal analyst who was elected to the bench in 2020, was found guilty by the Louisiana Judiciary Commission of exhibiting inappropriate judicial demeanor and failing to maintain proper conduct and was suspended and fined in an opinion issued by the state’s high court Wednesday.
