SAGINAW, MI — A Saginaw woman allegedly called 911 to report she shot her boyfriend, claiming she did so because he was antagonizing her. With the wounded man moaning in the background, his self-professed shooter told the dispatcher she would have shot off his toes and fingers if she hadn’t run out of ammunition.

Prosecutors played a recording of the 911 call during the Tuesday, Oct. 14, preliminary examination of the accused shooter, 32-year-old Darnisha M. Sanders. Sanders faces single counts of assault with intent to murder and discharging a firearm in or at a building, plus two counts of felony firearm. The first charge is a life offense.
