Kayla Montcalm joined a select group.

But it’s not as rare as the group she just left.

The Bay City Western junior claimed her second season scoring title atop the Bay County Girls Golf Leaders list, posting an average of 44.7 strokes per nine holes.

She is the eighth player to win mulitple titles since Bay County Leaders began in 2001. Ironically, there have only been seven one-time scoring champs.

Essexville Garber’s Brandi Studer is the only four-time stat champion on the list while Pinconning’s Tori Shark garnered three titles, a feat Montcalm has a chance to match next season as a senior.

Garber’s Marissa Espinoza finished as runner-up on the list with a 48.0 average. John Glenn’s Alli Caldwell ranked fourth to become a four-time Top 10 finisher.
