Ending the wait of the jungle safari enthusiasts, Corbett National Park’s Bijrani Zone was officially reopened for tourists on Wednesday. The Ramnagar MLA Diwan Singh Bisht flagged off the first tourist jeep as part of the official opening of the zone.

During the opening ceremony, the director, Corbett National Park, Saket Badola said that several routes inside the Corbett forest had been badly damaged due to this monsoon’s heavy rainfall. “The Forest department teams worked tirelessly to repair these roads to ensure a smooth experience for tourists,” he added.

The range officer, Bijrani, Amit Gwasakoti informed that the zone has witnessed a large influx of visitors on the very first day after opening and all safari jeeps have been fully booked.
