FOREST COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Early Tuesday morning, while authorities were pursuing a driver speeding over 110 mph with no headlights in Forest County, a deputy crashed into a deer, totaling their squad car.

On October 14, around 6:35 a.m., the Forest County Sheriff's Office stated they were contacted by an off-duty deputy about a speeding Audi on Highway 55 northbound. It was noted that the Audi was passing in a no-passing zone and had a 'very loud' exhaust.

Shortly after, an on-duty deputy spotted the vehicle near County Highway S, and while the deputy was turning around, the vehicle reportedly increased in speed.
