Duke football 's defense is coming off its lowest rushing total of the season, holding Cal to 41 yards on the ground in its Week 6 45-21 rout over the Golden Bears.

Now up against No. 12 Georgia Tech and fresh off an idle week, the Blue Devils will look to maintain that momentum against quarterback Haynes King and a potent Yellow Jacket rushing attack, tied for 11th in the FBS at 238 rushing yards per game.

“Everybody tries to control (King)," Duke defensive coordinator Jonathan Patke said on Monday, Oct. 13. "He's a great player, a great runner, leads the team in rushing. They're going to have every designed quarterback run and then a lot of just read game where he can pull the ball and his scramble ability on passing downs. We have to have eyes on him."
