LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into a belated burglary.

An employee of Murphy Motors near Chester Street and Cornhusker Highway reported Monday that the building’s electric meter had been removed, cutting the power, and someone got inside by breaking the door handle.

Police said a Nissan Sentra was stolen and a garage bay door was damaged by the vehicle driving through it.

The investigation into the burglary continued Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. when an officer patrolling around Adams Street and Touzalin Avenue saw a Nissan that had been reported stolen. Police said the vehicle had dealer plates from another dealership that was burglarized Tuesday.
