CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Career and Technology Center celebrated the grand opening of its new welding facility on Wednesday, October 15.

A ribbon cutting was held at 10:30 a.m., officially dedicating the new welding facility.

They say the new welding facility will have state-of-the-art training space for hands-on learning, industry certifications and partnerships with regional employers.

“This facility is more than just a building,” said Dr. Brock Crowley, director of Cape CTC. “It’s an investment in our students, our community and the future workforce. We are excited to open our doors and share this achievement with local businesses, educators, students and families.”

A trade show and open house followed until 3 p.m. at the Cape CTC campus, 1080 S. Silver Springs Road.
